Admission Policy:

Arazi University is newly stablished leading private university at Misurata City in Libya.
It attracts student applicants from all over the world who want to achieve academic excellence. It is multicultural and provides opportunities for enrolment in its diverse fields of undergraduate and graduate studies to students regardless of their race, color, religion, disability, or national origin. General Admission Requirements:

  1. To be admitted to Faculty of Medicine, Arazi University, a candidate has to be admitted according to the regulations of the Central Admissions Office of the Ministry of Higher Education of Libya.
  2. A candidate should be a holder of Libya Secondary School Certificate, or its equivalent with appropriate scientific specializations (such as natural sciences).
  3. Applicants can apply through the website of Alrazi University, on the following link: https://razi.edu.ly/en/admissions/ or directly at the university venue in Misurata City, Libya.
  4. Transferable students should undergo special committee review to evaluate studied subject and credit hours.
  5. Application cycles and their deadlines will be announced at the appropriate time according admission regulations of the ministry of higher education.
  6. The list of students accepted at Alrazi University is sent directly to the Admissions Office for final acceptance.
  7. International students should submit official documents, including academic transcripts, health insurance certificate and language certificate if present, and a copy of the passport.
  8. International student should comply with legal procedures for obtaining a study visa in the host country.
  9. International students should commit to adhere to the laws and regulations of the college and the host country.

Accepted Students:

  1. To complete the admission process, an accepted student should submit to the admission office the following document : a copy of the admission receipt ,a copy of her secondary school certificate ,and a copy of passport for non-Libyan students.
  2. Each student pays the application fees at the Finance office only and brings the receipt of payment to the admission office to collect the application form.
  3. A student is given with the receipt a notification date to collect letter of acceptance.
  4. The new Student University ID will be used for settling financial issues at the Finance Office, for registration of courses and for other academic transactions at AUW.

 

Transfer Student Admission:

Transfer students from other universities will be admitted according to the rules and regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education at Libya according to the following procedures:

– Applicants apply to AO by providing the following official documents (transcript attested by Ministry of Higer Education and a copy of the letter of resignation from her previous university or college).
– All submitted documents will be sent to Dean of the recipient Faculty for review, the dean will suggest a proposed academic plan that should be endorsed by the Registrar’s Office.
– A letter of admission will be given to the student so she can complete all other steps of admission.
– Admission office will take students’ documents to the Central Admissions Office at the Ministry of Higher Education to complete the transfer procedure and change status of the transferred student .
– The AO will compile the application files of all registered transferred student and send them to the Registrar’s Office.

Medical Record:

–     All newly admitted students must fill an entrance medical record form, to be completed by the designated University physician at the AL Hilal University Hospital before the registration period. Students who report late to AFHC will be charged a late fee.

–     A medical test clearance slip will be given to the student to take it to the Registrar Office and start her registration .

–     Returning students after the annual holidays are not required to complete any medical forms.

–     Important changes in the student’s medical condition and/or updating immunizations should be reported to the university physician by appointment at Al Hilal Hospital early in the first semester to update the student’s file.

–     All information is kept confidential.

Health Insurance:

–     Health insurance coverage is mandatory for all students during their years of study at Alrazi University. Thus, any student registered for at least 12 credit hours is automatically enrolled under the Health Insurance (HI). However, a student may be exempted from enrolling in HI if she presents proof that she is covered by another healthcare insurance provider .

–     Students who register at the beginning of the first semester are covered by HI for twelve months, provided they do not graduate, withdraw, or are suspended and/or dropped from the University .

–     Students are required to pay annual fees for the HI. The fee charges are announced each year by the AUW Services Coordinator’s office .

Passports and Visas:

–     Foreign students joining Alrazi University must have passports valid for a period of not less than 13 months from the date of joining the University .

–     They should also secure an entry visa to Misurata, Libya from the nearest embassy or consulate in their country. The letter of admission at Alrazi will facilitate the application to the visa .

–     The Office of Student Affairs, in coordination with the Human Resources Office, the Admissions Office, the Admission Office and Registrar Office, will help provide the necessary certificates for registered foreign students to acquire residence permits from the Sudanese authorities.

Components (Contents) For The Program:

The duration of study at the college is six academic years, in addition to a one-year internship (clinical training). The study period is divided into the following stages:

 

  1. First phase: Includes the preparatory year.
  2. Second phase: Includes the first and second years.
  3. Third phase: Includes the third year.
  4. Fourth phase: Includes the fourth and fifth years.
  5. Fifth phase: The internship (clinical training) year, which is a full calendar year (twelve months).

Requirements for Continuation in the Program

The student’s absence should not exceed 25% on each course.

The students must complete their studies within the time specified in Regulation 501.

A student is not considered to have successfully passed a course in the following cases:

  1. If they obtain less than 60% of the total grade for a course, except for preparatory courses where the passing grade is 50%.
  2. In clinical courses, if they obtain less than 60% of the total clinical exam grade, regardless of the overall grade for those courses.
  3. If they obtain less than 35% of the total grade for the final written exam, they will not be allowed to take the practical, oral, or clinical exams and will receive a grade of “Fail” in that course. If the student transfers to another college, a “Fail” grade will be recorded for that course without specifying the grade.
